Town Crawl by VanKhron

[raw]
made by VanKhron for LD33 (JAM)
In 'Town Crawl' you play as a goblin and make your way through a town attempting to kill as many villagers, guards, and powerful heroes, as you can.
Made with Unity.

Controls:
Move - W A S D
Run - Left Shift
Jump - Spacebar
Attack - Return/Enter
(You should also be able to play with a PlayStation or Xbox controller)

Created with a team of three. We got most of the basic things we wanted in but the game lacks polish and a proper scoring and advancement system. Still, we're pretty proud of what we accomplished.

I like those fixed camera scenes. The heart remind me of Zelda.
Hard work for models and animations.
I cant beat the golden knight...

Very kind of you to put the first empty screen for familiarizing oneself with the controls!

Enemies drop hearts sometimes, but I can't seem to ever pick them up. Not sure if they were meant for healing, or are just decorative, haha.

I beat the golden knight by standing some distance away, and when he gets into a pre-charging pose, also charging at him (shift) and hitting him just before he gets a chance to swing at you.

I think the fact you've implemented clear tells and attack patterns is awesome. The low-poly models are well done. Nice job!

Side note, I was getting a "Data folder not found" error on the Windows build, even though said folder was clearly present (and I did try redownloading a few times just to check).

Nice work on the graphics here! The flat shaded polys with some texture on walls and main character give it a 90's 3D game look that's pretty good.

It lacks a bit on the level, though. Is it just three rooms and a corridor? :P

Controls are simple and work quite nicely, but the fixed camera angle may cause trouble when objects are closer to the bottom of the screen. :P
