Short-Lived Survival: A survival game where the world resets every ten seconds.

Click to move, run into things to interact with them.

Your goal is to craft the special key needed to unlock the door on your plot. Gather resources and upgrade your tools to get what you need to craft the key.

You can get resources in many different places, and you may have to think outside the box a bit to get the next item you need.

But be careful, if you're not in shelter (currently indicated by the gray at the top and the green boxes occasionally found in levels) when the world resets every ten seconds, you'll lose everything in your inventory.

Your shelter has a storage, a crafting table, and stations to upgrade your tool and your boots.

Please leave feedback in the comments when you get the chance, I'd love to know how best to balance or what to change.

This is definitely one that I'll remember. Really great job! The gameplay feels good, the mechanics are super easy to understand and the graphics and sound create an athmosphere fitting the game description! Also I think the world flipping animation is super cool!

This is lowkey brilliant and an amazing minimalistic survival/crafting idea. Well Done! Truly fun to play.

Wow, that was really fun. I feel like I could spend a lot of time on this (would have liked keyboard controls as well though).

Thanks for all the support! @dnivie I didn't want to add keyboard controls at first to keep the movement simple, but you're not the first person to suggest that so I might give in.

Really fun digging game.

The classic logic of "dig stuff => come back to upgrade" works well with the 10 second reset. On the first levels, you get used to go and come back, and once you understand safe zones and stars it changes the way you think about your runs, which is cool to keep the game fresh.

I'm not sure having safe zones be so random is a good idea, I would love it to be able to plan a bit better if I was guaranteed to find one around somewhere.

Nice job on this ✨

This is a fantastic game. It took me a while to work it out because at first I was confused by the inventory/upgrades/crafting and what the consequences of death were, but once I understood everything it was really fun. I managed to get to the amethyst sword but had to stop there because I'd already played for ages :). It does become quite grindy and a bit tedious at that point, as simply trying to reach the material you need often leaves you with only 1-2 seconds after getting past all of the stuff in the way. Really great design though and lots of progression to play through and interesting new depths to reach. The graphics and music are solid, and the controls worked well mostly, though I found the inventory a bit frustrating at times (a quick way to pull out stars and keys would be handy), and not having proper fullscreen made it harder to see and caused a lot of misclicks. I definitely enjoyed playing though. Great work!

The game is awesome! Love the idea, music and art style. My feedback: I do not like controling it with mouse (I would probably preferred WASD or arrow keys). I click many times outside of the window or X (in full screen mode) and lost progress. It is not a big deal if it happens once or twice, but after few times it gets a bit frustrating . I also suggest to lower the cost of few items, since game gets a bit grindy after a while. Beside that, amazing job!
