Speedy GOO-zales and the meal of infinity by dusakus
Speedy GOO-zales got a bit hungry lately, help him get his meal before it disappears at the horizon
Game info:
Your goal in default mode and overload (crash) mode is to first keep your target in a close proximity until the bar on top is all blue, you do it by changing lanes with UP and DOWN arrows to collect speed ups, slow downs, and hit obstacles when needed. When the "finish this" sign shows up you have to "hit" you target (be on the same lane and in the same position).
If the game crashed with error code 421, you are the one to blame, you cheater ];)
In Fast mode there is no goal, only SPEED. Try to reach 999 pixels per second (and turn down your volume, you have been warned ];) ). You can probably exit to menu by pressing ESC (but i'm preety sure i messed up such a simple thing ]:I , use ALT+F4 instead).
The game generates a folder structure at the location of the JAR file, starting with a "DCODE" directory. you can find a file called "engine.ugc" which holds some configuration settings.
To resize the game window change the value of "Pixel Size" in the configuration file.
You can also change the volume and fullscreen mode in there.
(sadly, fullscreen doesn't work on linux with multiple displays (at least in compositing window managers, i think it worked properly in i3))
Details:
Bar movement:
if the proximity meter is at 0% the bar will be slowly going left (bad)
if the proximity meter is above 50% the bar will be going right (good) at different speeds
Proximity:
0% is more than 299px, 100% is less than 2px

secret is secret, but if you find it, you know where it came from ];)
Made in Poland
(if you have hard time playing the game, but want to at least see all it has to offer you can cheat a bit by using CTRL+SHIFT+F to speed up and CTRL+SHIFT+R to slow down, do it at your own risk, as only speed mode is able to handle really high velocities)

The graphics and music were both pretty tight and well done too, great job!
Anyway, awesome little game, it's fun to go fast even if it hurts my eye. Music's good, art's ok, pretty unique gameplay.
Also +1 for best splash screen this LD so far
-normal: interesting gameplay.
-overload: WHAT IN THE WORLD?
-speed: *Theme intensifies*
On the speed mode getting to 999pix/s was a bit luck(no time to react to whats coming :p) but otherwise no notable imbalance, ignoring overload of course!
