This is the first time I've done a Compo in LD, mainly due to the simplistic requirements and output of BASIC itself. I just had to copy-paste the string display and clear screen commands as I wrote the story. All in all, I spent only around 8 hours completing this. So how does Excessive stack up?

Judging from the scores, rankings, and the comments left at the game page, it seems not everyone embraced my concept of a kinetic novel programmed in an archaic language and meant for retro systems. But that's OK. It's a fun proof of concept that I can hopefully implement in a future game that will have this style of presentation.
