I wake up daily to a sleep paralysis since I started working on my LD41 post-jam
I normally have a sleep paralysis once every 3 months but ever since I started working on the post-jam of my game last week, I woke up having sleep paralysis from five out of the eight days I worked in the post-jam.
I don't know what is actually causing me this. It's probably because i never created a horror game before and i'm having a hard time with the AI of a new enemy, a ghost, forcing me to look at the face of the ghost(which I found in the internet) every time I play test it. The ghost wasn't really that scary since I didn't put a lot of effort making it look terrifying, but considering that I get scared easily and I normally work on the game from eight pm to 2 am, where everybody in the house is asleep since it makes it easier to develop the game.
I also think that it might be caused by stress. I'm really rushing the post-jam since I still have another game to develop. But my developing of games was delayed due to a windows update that rendered Unity unopenable for 4 days, in which I reverted the windows update to fix it. And also I only have 3 weeks until school starts again. I have lots of work to do in this summer vacation. I hope the sleep paralysis stop after I finished developing the game. Any advice?
And btw whenever I experience sleep paralysis, I always close my eyes before I can feel the paralysis starting so I wouldn't see the scary shadow hallucination, then my whole body shakes and I'll hear a deep woman voice mumbling behind me (I sleep on my side because I red on the internet that it helps prevent sleep paralysis),. During the sleep paralysis I always think that the paralysis only takes a minute and will soon pass.
