Retrospective - Broke'n'Bad

The week-end didn't start as I would have hoped for. I was hoping to have a team. I ended up alone. I would have liked to be able to commit the whole 2 days to the game development. I ended up having commitments on Saturday and Monday evening. The conditions were therefore not ideal. Nevertheless, I had one clear goal in mind: submitting a game that feels complete. It should contain:
- proper graphics,
- an usable user interface,
- sound and music, and
- in-game explanations on how to play.
As far as I am concerned, I achieved everything I could hope for. All sprites shown in Broke'n'Bad are self-made. I enjoyed drawing them more that I think I would have, even though I am absolutely terrible at art. The UI is acceptable as long as you don't play on a too large of a screen. I couldn't figure out a way to make it scale properly ... Next time maybe. At least, the game comes with a proper main and pause menu.
While I didn't make any of the audio myself, I am happy to have sound-effects and a background music. Based on the first feedback, the UI explanation within the game are not clear enough to easily explain how to play my game. Next time, I will make sure to include a step-by-step explanation if the gameplay requires it ... in other words a proper tutorial.
Please help me improv on my gamedev journey by playing and rating Broke'n'Bad. Any feedback is more than welcome!
