Post Mortem Part 1: Idea and project management

Hellooo fellow jammers! (。・∀・)ノ
Thank you everyone for a fun jam and all the games and inspiration. I really love looking into what other people are doing so I thought I'd share our process as well.
If you haven't played our game, please go ahead and try it here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/fox-hen-bag
Brainstorming and sketching phase
For this phase we sat down and bounced ideas. For a long time we got stuck with an idea that involved carrying something but it became to hard to create levels for that. Then we came up with the idea about the fox, hen and bag of grains riddle. That instantly gave us a scope that seemed possible.
Saving ideas
We used Atlassian Confluence to write down ideas, and we have a lot of best practices saved there as well.
This is how the first sketch looked (why is there rabbit there tho? @Alexaur) (* ̄3 ̄)╭

Lists
We compiled the following list:
- Light references
- Art style references
- 3D models
- Sounds
- Animations
- Scripts
We took all of these list and then created tasks from them.
Task management
We used Trello to keep track of our tasks and we had the following columns:
Maybe/low prio, To do, In progress and Done.
Asset collaboration
In order to share assets efficiently we used Unity Collab and worked on one single project. Initially, everyone had their own scene to test their models in. After we had enough assets, we put together the one scene and everyone worked in that one.
Builds
We used Unity Cloud Build, first Windows and then later we added macOS and Linux. It made it easy to distribute the game in the end.
The next part will be about the 3D models!
