Let's Try AI

I've never used Unreal AI in a Ludum Dare game. It's always scared me off any time I've tried.

This time, I decided on a game concept that needs at least some basic AI. My prerequisite for choosing this concept was that I get a basic AI working the first night.

Fortunately, I did. Here's a picture of the AI happily becoming randomly interested in random points around it before running frantically away from the player.

It turns out that Unreal AI isn't too complicated. There's just a bunch of pieces I didn't understand. Now that I have a better grasp of how they all work, hopefully, I can put that to good use in this game.

I hope all your projects progress well too.
