48 hours of pixel art

During LD50 I had the (for me) unusual privilege to spend most of the weekend doing pixel art. Even though I do a lot of design, I usually spend most of my time writing code, and I almost never get to focus completely on the design.

I would love to hear you opinions on the end result: ➤ Battery Low 😇

It was so nice to dig deep into the art together with @mascoll. We started off spending 30 min finding a palett for the game. We decided on Interstate-28 which we then used for everything.

It was super nice to have a palette. This made sure that all our art matched even though we worked separately on different things.

I designed the logo, the computer on which the game was show, and the mars surface. @mascoll focused on the rover, the artwork, the minimap, and the science & energy artefacts. I'm so happy about our collaboration, especially since we never worked together before <3

Below you find some more examples of stuff I made for the game.
