LD32 Post Mortem
Where do I begin.
Pros:
– Clear-concept
– Stepped outside of comfortable genres
-Expandable scripting system
-Was fun.
-Learned much more of how the Unity engine works
Cons:
-Had technical problems that lost me time and polish (probably 2+ hours ).
-Didn’t allows myself enough time to develop aesthetic (everything ended up as programmer art).
-Didn’t allow myself enough time to make clear tutorial for players
My opinion: I over-scoped on this one and ended up with a mediocre game. The core game play, while glitchy and unpolished, works. So I consider it a success in the most educational of ways.
Where to go from here:
-Besides make better games
-Scope back.
-Allow more time for developing art assets and fixing bugs
-Allow more time for fixing bugs
-Account for time to create some sort of tutorial
Well that’s it for me. Time to move on wards to other projects!
