I have learnt something new and important.
- It is important that a game has pauses but no idle time.
- It is also immensely important to give good haptic feedback. If you take damage let the player light up. It's like a dance between music, animation and colours. In combination, you understand the game much better.
- And this year I see again that placing text directly in the game is read directly and saves the player from having to read it again.
- I also don't see ludumdare as a chance to make my game famous, feedback is much more important to me. That way I could and can improve in the future.
- Don't get frustrated
- Don't compare yourself with others, compare yourself with yourself 2 years ago.
- Have fun!
This is just my subjective opinion and experience. I would love to read more tips from veterans and also newbies.
Feel free to take my game apart with feedback and constructive criticism
