(Another) Declaration of war!

I know that I’ve already written a “I’m in” post, but I’d like to say it again and clearer, as to not allow myself to back down.

I’m in, and I’ll make a game in C.

My main reason to do that is to be able to make a game that run smoothly at 60 fps and that has controller support. That’s something that I couldn’t do in Flash+Flixel, which is why I want to move away from that option.

I’ve only used my own framework a few times (and never during a jam), so I’ll probably end up making a even simpler game than usual. Maybe, by making it simpler, I’ll be able to make a more polished game … who knows…

Tomorrow, I’ll setup my entry’s repository on github and make a small something to get ready for another Ludum Dare. Nothing fancy, (perhaps) just a simple side scrolling shooter with colored-rectangles, a short chiptune-ish tune and sfx. The fancy stuff shall be done this weekend, if time allow me to do so.

Let’s do this! Let’s make games! =D

You should check out OpenFL with HaxeFlixel. A Flash like API with cross platform controller support. :)
