Khansept Decisions
Ok, then.
It’s only been 2 hours since I first saw the theme (yeah… I’m a bit late) and I have a tentative concept. I guess we’ll have to see how horrible of an idea it is over the course of the next 45 hours.
I have a sneaking suspicion that it’ll be too complex for me to implement in a weekend.
Basically, the game will be a platformer.
The premise – your world has been shattered. The very fabric of reality is torn into multiple worlds. You must travel to each of these fragments, connecting them once again into a united whole.
This fragmentation manifests itself in the form of gravity incongruities between world fragments. Each world displays different gravity behaviors.
Armed with grappling hook, you must visit each world, searching for a solid location to hook a connection line before grappling to the next world.
Admittedly this isn’t that original, but it does give me some room to play around with non-standard gravity based platformers. And grappling mechanics… which I find strangely attractive right now. Like I said, we’ll see how I feel in 45 hours.
I hope everyone else is making more rapid progress than I am.
Until the next post then!
