Progress Report
Well, my minimalist entry Colorobellum (combination of the Latin words for “color” and “war”) is coming together nicely. It’s basically an audiovisual experience where projectiles fly at you from both sides in time with the music, which I am composing, playing and recording (NOT synthesizing) on my derpy little piano :P. Your score ticks up perpetually as the game goes on, and although you can’t die, your rate of point gain decelerates if you get hit by a projectile. So far, I have implemented:
- Working way to load projectile timings from a text file
- High Score Saving
- Menu System
- Groovy rotation, scaling, and translation effects
The main thing that’s left is to finish the music (I’m about 3/4 done) and actually plug in all the timings. Here are some screens! (Notice the lovely blue projectile in the second snapshot!)
