Day 2… so, so tired…

Thought I’d post an update before I crawl off to bed…
My game’s taking shape… it’s rather basic compared to some of the incredible looking submissions I’ve seen, but I’m mostly happy-ish with my effort thus far.
Here’s how it’s looking:

ShapeSquangle - Day 2

The idea is to collect the various shapes. Only active shapes can be collected and the player collides with non-active shapes and static blocks.
The rows of blocks/shapes are moving at an increasing speed to the left, pushing the player back… so it’s basically an endless runner.

I’ve run into countless problems over the last few days that I’m sure a future version of myself will look back and cringe at. The physics aren’t fantastic… but it’s playable.

There’s still some bits to do before I can submit, including sounds and gameover… I have to work tomorrow so it’ll be tight to get everything ready and submitted after work, but I’ll give it a go.
