Fluffensnuff has grown up - My first game after 18 years

and changed its name to a more poetic communityemgroupimage/em444x208.png

A year after my wife and i made this sokoban-like puzzle game for Ludum Dare 44, we decided to make it our first release, as it was very well received and the scope seemed really doable. During this year, i gathered some statistics from the high score list - we had nearly 2000 players with a combined playtime of over 200 hours. This isn't much for a "proper" game, but for our little LD entry it was incredible and made us very happy.

What really feels strange to me is, that i've been making games for 18 years and have never released a paid game in that time. This one will be the first and i can only wonder what took me so long :D

We went from 17 levels to over 100 with many new mechanics. We also redesigned the graphics completely, over some different styles (this would deserve its own post).

We also included the level editor, with which i built all the levels. Players can build levels easily ingame, and publish them or just play the levels made by other people.

It was a really interesting experience, and also showed us how much work it can be, despite the 72hr game being quite solid (for our past selves, at least). Of course we learned a lot too, and i especially value the experience made with freelancers on fiverr for the future.

Today we published the steam page, very exciting times for us: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1409180/OfMiceand_Moggies/

PS: does anyone recognize this? (big fans!) :D titlescreen.png
