Motivation and the Wall Ahead
I assume other people get this feeling as well. You've spent all weekend, and I mean all weekend (excluding a little time for sleep), working on a game. You get to the end and you feel both a feeling of motivation since you see how much you've improved and a feeling of distraught when looking at other's games. The quality of the games that come out in LD is astonishing, to say the least. I want to be able to make games at that level.
For me, LD gives me tons of conflicting emotions. This is part of the reason I love LD so much. It motivates me through both giving me a platform for practice and feedback while also letting me see how much farther I have to go as a game dev.
As for my game this time. Check it out here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/$16562
