Video of ‘Ninja Flare’
Thanks for all the feedback I received from everyone. Its really amazing to get such constructive crits as well as great praise. I captured a little demo of it being played how I envision it should be played. Check it out:

Its been one hell of a ride, but I have finished! Had some great fun with my team; Love you guys!
Our game Polymorph:
Really glad we are doing the Jam again this time. We had a busy weekend, and I found it pretty hard to be motivated to code the game. Regardless, we have pushed thru and now have a working game, although it is still not finished. Will be spending time tomorrow getting it polished and published. Here is how it looks so far.
Movement WASD.

Now that Ludum Dare is in judging phases, here are a few tools I found extremely useful…when I least expected it:
Fossil, and its Ticket Tracker
Fossil in a version control much like Subversion. In fact, it’s commands are nearly identical to SVN, yet has the advantage of a Distributed Revision Control (e.g. offline commit support). But every programmer knows Version Controls are important! No, I’m going to talk about a feature that I honestly didn’t expect any use out of: its built-in ticket support.
Ignoring the ugly HTML v1.0 visuals, this thing is just…clumsy. Nonetheless, I found myself using this over Google Task. Why? Well, it loads fast, and I can indicate if I did or didn’t feel like fixing things.
Garage Band…on the iPhone
This is iPhone’s piano. It’s very tiny.
This is iPhone, with orchestral strings, on auto-play.
Life became so much easier, since.
Minimalist art? Check!
Minimalist rules? Check!
Minimalist goals? Check!
Minimalist levels? Check!

Yes, you start with a cluttered board and have to move the pieces to cancel each other out, so that only the board remains and the “picture” becomes minimalist.
Get it here: Windows/Java
The only platform-dependent part is the LWJGL native libraries, so one could easily modify it for other platforms. I have no way of testing on them though, so I left them alone.
I was planning to add sound effects and animations as well; to make the rules easier to understand. Maybe I’ll enter a finished version in the 72-hour jam. Maybe add more levels too.
Sorry I have not posted any update yet… I’m soloing the jam here’s a little screenshot teaser:

I like making things glow
On the todo list for today: more levels, sounds, music, better character animation and some props and more varied textures to make the levels prettier.

I’ve had to cut most of my game due to workflow and horrible code. Even though I would love to complete this and someday probably will, right now I just can’t. I will be submitting what I have to the jam and I hope it has somewhere close to the affect on people I was hoping.

So I my friend and I who are participating in the ludumdare jam may or may not have bit off more than we can chew. Either way it is slowly moving along it is playable but not a whole lot to it, I guess that’s minimalist. It networks, and you can have as many people as you like on the server. You can shoot bullets, you can hit people with bullets, you can kill people with bullets. I still need to implement a queue for respawning instead of just instantly respawning. I need to add sound effects. Map collision needs to be done, sending the map initially over the network. Kill counter per player. Game over at 10 kills. map cycle. those are my goals but others it’s getting there. I’ll be hosting a server when we finish it, so yea 😛
Hey! This is my first LD entry: Pete Hated Circles
As you can see, it was inspired by art of Piet Mondrian.
Made in 12 hours in ActionScript 3 (you’ll need Flash to play). Has some bugs, but hey..
And now a relevant picture for your pleasure:

Jeez… I never thought the Ranking and playing part, would be almost as fun as making games. I want to stay up all night playing and ranking but I just spent the last two nights making the game. You guys are awesome Lundum Dare!
LOVE IT!
The first game I tried out already got me! The mood in this game is so awesome.

Tijmentio! Great job man! Funny Game!

I forgot upload yesterday… The game is now up for the jam and not for the compo.
Shame…
At least you did the work, that’s what counts!I’ve compiled builds of my game for Ubuntu and Raspbian (for the raspberry pi, since I have one sitting next to me). I’ve stuck everything in one archive with the windows version and provided a readme.txt file with it with instructions on how to run it on each platform.
Hi!
This is my entry, i hope you will finish it, it isn’t going to be easy, but it’s doable…
Many succeed, can you do it? U_U
Play it, comment and vote!
Quick question — some people have suggested that I add instructions besides the “game” so you can see the instructions while the playing. Since that would be adding text to the webpage itself but not modifying the game/application, is this allowed since the compo submission deadline has obviously passed?
Good morning everyone! I just woke up and realized that the links to my game wasn’t working. So, now that they’re updated and ready to be clicked. Feel free to play and enjoy! Thanks for a great time with you guys!
Woaw, I couldn’t make it to the compo, so I’m now aiming for the jam.
I’ve seen a game really similar to mine, more or less same theme and gameplay. But I think both games will have really different vibes. And I love how the guy handle his vision of it (you can try his game here by the way).
Anyway, I’ve finished the coding part and most of the animations. But my game needs sounds and more art assets. Here is a taste of what it’s gonna look like.
