What is Fragment Jam?

Fragment Jam is a game jam focused on admiring and sharing unfinished games (fragments). Maybe you want to revisit these projects someday, maybe you want closure and to move on, perhaps you want to make a fragment for the jam. Fragment Jam is here to help sort it out and to provide a platform for celebrating and sharing our fragments.

In case some of you weren't aware, I have been updating 8BKO, my LD44 game, for quite a while now. We have finally gotten to the stage where you can select from 4 different characters, levels, and 12 colors. It was quite exhausting, but now I proudly present to you:

We created a post jam update for our game, as a way to look back to LD44.

I usually get a bit burnt out after a game jam so it was nice to get back to the project afterwards, without the time pressure.

My entry for the 44th LudumDare has been improved and released using Unity 2019.1 - and you can dowmload it for free on itch.io platform. STR!PES is a procedural generation game using code (and only code) - no sprite, no prefab, no physics, no implicite value (excepted a radius PI). 17 batches in inspector - really smooth. Alakajam! is about to start a competition where we won't make jam games, but play and compete on them!

The tournament

For two weeks, everyone is invited to play and post high scores on a selection of games, using screenshots as proof. Players can then earn points according to their ranking (see below), climb a leaderboard and try to win the tournament :tophat: (see this as an example!)

(Before you ask, screenshots can be faked indeed, but we haven't had any cheating issues so far. There's no prize any way, just the fun of competing on jam games and making their authors cry by finding glitches :wink:)

How to submit your game

Any jam game that supports high scores in one way or another can qualify. We prefer web games but cross-platform desktop games are fine too. All you need to submit is to:

Once logged in, go to your user profile and the "My entries" section to create a game by hand (or through the importing tool).

I have made a game about getting ideas for games. The game is called "A Popcorn Game" and it is the story about me trying to get an idea for a game with popcorn's. I know that it sounds weird to try to make a game with popcorn's, but if you want to know why I want to make this game, you have to play the game.
