Hey, do you want to feed the good penguins and dip the bad ones into the water?

LMMS was chosen couse it's free and there's a pretty large library of instruments and shared projects in one place at their site.

Some thoughts:
Initially, the idea was to make a dynamic chiptune soundtrack. With that in mind, I made four small drafts to see which one would be the best fit for the game. But nothing was quite good. So, since I couldn't make anything enjoyable, the idea was marked as bad. And the next day I started a project from scratch, but this time without any specific genre in mind, just wanted to compose something unostentatious and "deliver the icy feeling" with music.
Thus, after half an hour of pampering with the keyboard, I settled on a simple 4-bar arpeggio in the F major key as the base melodic pattern and then just started adding instruments and trying different variations.
At that point, I already had not much time left, so as soon as the arrangement had acquired at least some holistic look and an acceptable duration, I proceeded to mixing, and that was kind of chaotic.
The whole composing and mixing thing took off about 4-5 hours, 10 with rejected drafts.
As a result, the track turned out to be shorter than I planned and breaks off without looping; quite a lot of players called it repetitive, and I tend to agree with them. However, in general, I am rather satisfied with the result.
And what do you think?
