🤬 You know, what happened 🤬, while I was driving here, Yosh 🤬? I was ambushed by raiders👺, I lost my hood cause of a damn 🧨minefield💣 and I'm almost out of ammo. And for what? 69 teeth🦷🦷🦷🦷🦷🦷? I was deliverin' goods💼👝🧳 through the wasteland, as ye do, when I came across a bridge that had been 💥blown to smithereens💥! And wouldn't ye know it, a 👹gang of bandits👹 was lying in wait for me. Bad luck for me! 🎲

They had 🏎fast cars and big guns🔫, and they weren't too happy to see me. Well, they probably were, actually! But in a bad way, hehehe. I had to drift and swirl, dodging their bullets and swerving past their vehicles. It was a close call, a'most lost my cargo van 😱! But I managed to get away🥇, to tell you dat tale, kiddo 👶🏾!

It's a tough world out there, and ye have to be quick🐒 and smart🔧 if ye want to survive. But I wouldn't have it any other way. That's the thrill of the job, ye see - always keepin' ye on yer toes. Makes ye feel alive...

Or at least ability to change volume with +/- keys or any other. Cause it is quite painful to play games if you are on Discord with people at the same time, sometimes games can be too loud.

Because some people will be playing your game on itch, some on ludum, some will download, and the one very important button that is needed for your core mechanic will be forgotten. It happens every jam that I play some game and can't figure why it is so bad until I notice that there's some action I can do that was only referenced at itch.io.

• If you update you build you WILL forget to update control at some place

• Don't you want you game to be preserved for the future players? If you make a nice game some people may notice it way after the jam and maybe download it to play later. Why would you want them to no know control then...

Just enabling some UI on top of a game when pressing F1/Esc is enough. Or show them in game menu/start screen. Show them in game somewhere, please :)

This jam we tried to streamline the experience! No open world, no upgrades... Just you, interesting mechanic and the level!

I see a lot of cool games in a feed, already saving them to play later... I think it's the most "gamedesign-ish" theme out of recent ludums, and it definitely inspired some creativity in people.

Any other cool physics games we should play?

I was curious to check what are the most appreciated games so far, but smart/classic balance value doesn't make sense. When you sort submissions by them you get rather random games with very small rating given and received (and high balance).

For example, this are the metrics for some game with high balance:

Karma from Feedback given: 1

Ratings given: 2.75

Ratings received: 3

Classic Balance: 117.2604 *

Smart Balance: 4.0833 *

You can see that this team haven't played a lot of games and haven't received a lot of ratings.

And for our game we played and received much more and with have lower balance:

Karma from Feedback given: 35

Ratings given: 16.75

Ratings received: 47.125

Classic Balance: 60.2614 *

Smart Balance: -41.6396 *

I am not complaining and we keep playing games, I'm just curious if these numbers even mean anything...

Hello! Please share how do you edit your gifs? I mean compression, cropping, etc. What editor do you use?

I use windows clipchamp and I suffer every time but other options don't seem much better or they are very complex software that is just rather slow (premiere/davinciresolve). I wonder if there is some fast and slick program for easy and basic editing...

It's only fair to expect that people who rate a lot of games deserve a quick way to play them. Most default engines support exports to any build. If your web version doesn't work after 72 hours I personally think it is in a spirit of a jam to upload it later as a critical bug fix.

And if your game has very good reasons to be dowloadable only, please, spent 30 minutes and make a fancy page with screenshots and gifs. You already invested 3 days, your game probably deserves some "marketing".

Did you make a horror game for this jam? We didn't! But if you did it would be cool to have them all in one place. For example in this post. I would definitely like to play some.
