I’d like to share some details about developing our first game for Ludum Dare.

The whole idea for the jam started with just a few lines on paper. Here’s what the initial sketch looked like:

And here's what grew out of it:

We had plenty of other ideas for next levels and ways to make the existing ones more challenging. For example, we considered adding a rhythm-based mini game and introducing enemies into the gameplay. We also wanted to refine the music and some of the implemented mechanics, but we decided to stick with what we already had so we could polish it into a solid, playable state within the three-day timeframe.
