TinyLittleTrouble

Here it is, my first participation at a Ludum Dare! I made it all by myself for the Jam, however I could only use the last 24h to do it. TinyLittleTrouble is a puzzle point and click game about escaping a little planet your spaceship crashed into.

I hope you enjoy it even if just a bit, and that you leave feedback for me to improve it the best I can! Thanks! :D

Post Mortem:

So last night we finished our entry for the Game Jam! The initial idea was to fully combine a narrative-driven dating simulator and a tower defense game, where each round represented a day, and each day you got to speak to some pretendants. Your performance on this chats would then affect the tower's behaviour (as each tower type is directly related to a pretendant).

The affection level you had with each tower would make them stronger, stop attacking, or even boost the enemies! As you wouldn't be able to remove the towers, you'd need to choose carefully their placement and the "long-term" relationship you'd have with them. Higher affection levels would also unlock higher upgrade levels for each tower, and towers would develop narrative driven relationships and would start to modify each others stats depending on their friendship status.

Pretty obviously, the scope of the project got out of our hands and we were too fool to notice back when deciding the game (I'll blame for this the emotion of the moment...). The result is a tower defense game with no upgrades, some dating interaction, which applies little to no effects to the game.

However we had a really good time making it together and he got to learn a lot about each others programming tips and hopefully we will make a game with a shorter scope next time!

(If you played the game before, since this post, a balance change has been performed based on feedback. SHhold be way more fun now!)
