It's not good, but learning is the most important part, right?
I don't even now how to use LÖVE 32 hours ago. It's also my first time doing any art related stuff.

This was a really fun experience. I think I had more self-doubt in past 3 days than what I usually get in a month.
But I finally managed to somewhat "complete" my game (i.e. no missing pieces. The game won't crash and tell you "not implemented" when you push some buttons.), so I'm happy.
I guess.
So, in my game, you play as a social shut-in, who is trying to keep theirself alive in their "small world". You are allowed to do things people would do at their home, watching movies online, eating, sleeping, etc.
It's pretty foolish of me to try to make a simulation game, because obviously there's not enough time to add enough content to the game to make it feel remotely realistic.
For example, I wasn't able to simulate small creatures, so over time the room can be filled with bugs (as they would in real life). So to compensate, I filled the game with bugs instead.
When I was coding this game, I was thinking made I can make it survival-ish. So I made it pretty easy to die in this game (which is also true in real life, btw).
For example, if you are hungry, your health would drop. And you won't be able to go to sleep (because hungry keeps you awake, not because this is a corner case I'm too lazy to code for), which makes your health drop double fast. If you don't have food right at your hand, you would die pretty quickly.
Basically, you health bar should normally look like this:

....not like this:

...Are you sure that you are even human?
Floating point numbers are great, there're a lot of uses for them.
For example, in this game, the salary you earn after completing work is calculated using a complex formula. And if you are not careful with floating numbers, you ended up with something like this:
...gotta show off those math skills I learned from that frog.
Same as the health, I tried to make earning money difficult in this game as well. You would typically spend ~$30 on food everyday. But after you complete a 3-day long job, you would usually get $40~$50. So there's never enough money.
( Unbalanced you say? Welcome to real life :') )
This worked as intended, for a while. Then someone did this:

Why even work, when you can have a small loan, without interests, forever?
I wish I can do this in real life.....
So what should I do when my game sucks?
Why, make more games, of course.
