Plan to join MiniLD #20

I plan to join miniLD #20, which will be my first time competing.
This should be interesting

A glimpse of what’s to come

Crazynate MiniLD 20
Over 7 straight hours of work and I’m still not tired…
I figured I could have some greedy animal trying to catch as many different fish as possible, so that’s what i’m trying to make.

Your graphics are amazing. I’m jealous. :O

Setbacks…

Unfortunately, I’m going to need to remake my game because i can’t get some the math right and it’s taking too long to figure out.

– reasons to work on code before making almost every graphic.

…I hope I can get this finished…

I’m in

If I don’t sleep in too much next weekend I shall try to compete in the Jam.

I think I’ll just be using GIMP, VB.NET, and a tilemap editor/simple RPG Maker-esque game engine that I’ve been working on the past few months (would I be allowed to use it for the Jam?) which I’ll share later this week once I get it working again…

It’s fixed and half-working again

I’ve managed to fix up my map editor/small game engine that I’ve been working on for a few months in VB.NET and I hope to get some actual use out of it in the jam

Pretty tiles! Are they self-made?

Storytime

I have little code or other resources together at the moment, but I have a bit of an concept of what to do.

The working title is currently Project Status: Abandoned.

You are the unfinished work of a mad scientist, a simple robot left to collect dust in the depths of a laboratory. You were created merely for the sake of something to do, and then tucked away from the world and out of mind. There was no real intention of you ever becoming something grand, more of a play thing really.

You don’t even have arms, only a mind of your own and two legs to keep moving forward.

You find yourself locked in the storage basement, lacking any real sense of purpose, but nonetheless you feel compelled to explore to find some meaning in your existence. Scouring the lab, you come across pieces of other forgotten projects left to corrode. You manage to wipe them off with the heel of your foot and notice that when the bits of junk are polished up they can be a thing of beauty.

You set forth to find other bits and pieces around the lab, occasionally finding things that improve you. Eventually you gather enough tid bits that you’re no longer the robot you once were.

You go from being simply a minimalistic creation to something truly spectacular.

Abandoned Project

Nighty night everyone, I have to get to sleep so I can drive in the morning.

Cheers,

Nate

Project Status: Abandoned has successfully been uploaded! It’s a platformer that lacks content and good jumping, but it has great collision! – relatively speaking!

Hopefully I can actually add a webpage to my site for this project by the end of the week and maybe get a post competition version together that actually has gameplay….

Oh, and the door is just there to mock you, it doesn’t actually do anything yet, you will never escape.
