Can't actually believe I got it done, but it's there, it's playable, and I actually did it. First time for me, and I Was pretty unsure, but it was a BLAST!

I have to say, this was my first ever jam, and it was a blast. I learned a lot more about knocking out quick drafts of gameplay than I had thought I would an I made a LOT more progress than I thought I would.
I found that some forms of gameplay lend themselves better to jams than others. I found there IS a minimum of visual enjoyment for my satisfaction. I actually stopped implementing to bring everything up to what felt reasonable.
I'd never actually published a game before either, so getting it up was a fun set of new chaos.
I started to get sick on Sunday but made it through anyway. :cold_sweat:
Was a great experience!
Give it a play.

It's me, your cousin! Let's go bowling or rate some games!

Puzzles, plants and adorable robots.

I was really worried about getting done this time, but in the end the game got done and the upload happened in time. I went for an emotional platformer this time, which was a very new design for me.

Hopefully the fun translates as the context art never really got time to get put in.

Still, building platformer mechanics quickly, iterating on specific ideas, and trying to maintain a theme was a big bit of fun to do.

Thanks All!

Its a bit barebones, but the core concepts made it into the entry and hopefully those are fun.

Enjoy all!

My favorite attempt at LD so far.

This time I ended up with a truly complete game. Fully featured, with full gameplay, music, and sound. I even got a voiced tutorial into the game.
I focused really hard this year on staying with an idea that could be fully complete in the time alloted.
Tools - - Engine - Construct 3 - Art - Pixaki on iPad - Sound - Audacity for cutting, Auxy for music - Kitty sounds - my eager-to-help 7 year-old
Thanks for a great experience!
As a parent of a very eager and creative 7 year-old, game jams can be pretty challenging.
This year I worked hard to include her in the process and help her see the joy of creation.
She created all the cat sounds for me (future voice actress) and helped with the fully voiced, super-professional, tutorial.
She worked so hard, and now she wants to know when the next jam is.
Check it out!
