After 1 day of development, I decided to show this one screenshot from my game. It is my first game jam, so I’m little bit jittery. But I’m enjoying it so much.
I’m coding in javascript, using html5 canvas, which I completely don’t know.
Yeah, it isn’t mistake. Shark with gun.

Small fix – you can skip intro by killing shark doctor.
I’ve added power ups to Hyper Lovely Hazardous Shark, which I’ve posted in MiniLD#46.
Skull – multiplies attack power by 2
Armor – decrement damage
Hourglass – some kind of bullet time
Spider’s web – slowers you. If you take it, you’ll die.
Lightning – faster movement
Nyan Cat – just see it.

Yes, it is done! My first real LD.
I’m proud of my game, but I know that it could be better if I wasn’t learning unity while I was making it.
Game is petending to be dark metroidvania, has one level and can be finished in twenty minutes if you’ll bet it first time. But you won’t, because it’s quite difficult.
So, have fu.

Thanks for feedback. I just have fixed jumping – now you can’t jump so high, but you should see platform on which you want to jump. I also added animation of taking hit according to your advice, and put on map several bottles with life potion more.
Added alternative controls if you hate standard:
space – use item
right alt – jump
right shift – change item
