Hey guys, last time i participated i was 12 and this time im 14 have so much more experience! Im going to be using :

Hopefully I can incorporate some new things im learning such as neural networks and genetic algorithms!

Tower Defence with Machine Learning

Hey guys I'm 14 years old and this is my second time doing Ludum Dare. For this jam I am not making any simple tower defence! I will be creating a tower defence game where the enemy is NOT PRE PROGRAMMED! The enemy uses Machine Learning to adapt to it's environment and become smarter by avoiding your defences and finding quicker ways to the goal! So basically... Your enemy is alive.

All the basic coding is done, now I just have to implement Audio other polishing features. Super excited to release this! Hope everyone plays this game. If you play you would be one of the people who played the world's first tower defence game that learns to beat the player ;)

Oops.. We missed the play+rate part of the competition

Oops. We got a bit busy with schoolwork and had a huge accident. Just logged back in today and realised there is less than 20 hours until the play+rate ends! :(

And as we have not rated anyone else's game, our game is in huge trouble. Will rate a couple of games in the next few hours to make up for it so please check our game out.

I will try to rate back as much as possible

Thank you!! :)

Idea + Basic Mechanics Complete

Hello! I am 16 years old and I will be participating in Ludum Dare for the 3rd time! So far, I have completed the custom path finding for the game using the A* algorithm and Unity and it's going pretttyy good so far, I think I should be able to complete the game in the given time. Capture.PNG

CRUSHED - An epic platformer designed to make you rage ;)

Hey guys, phew that was an epic Ludum Dare, after 4 times you think someone would get used to it, but it never gets old. I really like how this game turned out, especially the Graphics. It's the first time I have created a 2D game so I didn't want to waste time creating 2D art so I created 3D models and with the magic of Unity, everything looks 'flat'.

I would appreciate it if you check out my game, * I'm 15 years old and I literally took a day off school, just to work on this game... :\ Parents were not too happy about that  *

LAST.PNG

Oh and I do warn, the game does get hard. There is an ending though, one part is a bit puzzling because you feel like there is no way to get past the obstacle.. But I assure you, you can :) :smirk:

Oh and please apologize the physics in the game, I was messing around with the fixed timestep value in Unity to make the physics better, but I think I screwed something up, but the game still functions perfectly.

Also if you're the type that likes a challenge, then there's a button to disable checkpoints :)

I wish you all the best of luck with your games

Happy Game Programming Everyone!

Rage Inducing Dark Platformer [ TY for 50 RATINGS

Hey guys, I'm 16 years old and I'm so happy that my game reached 50 ratings. This is my third time participating and this is the first time that I have managed to get this many ratings, so it really shows me that I am improving as a developer and it truly is motivating. If you play the game and drop a quick rating and some feedback, I will certainly look at your game as well :)

Try and speed run the game and see if you can beat it under 5 mins - [https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/crushed-rage-inducing-platformer]

There were a few issues with the physics, but most issues should have been resolved - so if you are willing to have some fun and take on a challenge... This is the game for you :)
