Ludum Dare 46

First game finished - Program has stopped working

This is the first LD I participated in, and I finally finished the game, 2 and half hours before the time runs out. I am utterly exhausted, but it was already totally worth it!

I didn't manage to add like half the stuff I wanted to the game, but I am still pretty content with the result (not including my horrible programmer graphics, lol).

If you'd like, you can check it out over here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/$180324

Time to catch up on sleep I guess...

Program has stopped working!

Program has stopped working, aka the sentence everyone really hates. Or aka the bullet hell game where you, the user, got your PC hacked, your cursor got all wonky, and all the big horrible viruses are out to get ya.

I was actually eagerly awaiting for someone to send me the first bug report, but it didn't happen, so I guess I released a bug-free game. Yay!

Though I left the audio rather unfinished (or more like inexistent) because the deadline was closing in on me, I am actually pretty content with what I managed to create in the short timespan. I'm definitely going to continue with the post-LD development.

Also - note to self - bring down the difficulty scaling, since at the current point, the difficulty gets punishing rather quickly, unless you get lucky with the powerups.

So... overall, not bad for my first game jam, I guess! Big thanks to everyone who rated and commented on my game, I really value any constructive criticism.

If you haven't done so yet - I'd be very glad if you took a few minutes to play the game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/program-has-stopped-working
