Descendants Post Jam Update

3c6d6.png.480x384.fit.jpg And here it is. We have gotten a lot of positive feedback for descendants so far, but there were some things people complained about. So we sat down and fixed them for a post jam update. Here's what's new:

  • Fixed Wall-Collisions while jumping
  • Re-mapped Controls for Action and Jumping
  • Enabled Character switching in both directions
  • Added an extra checkpoint before the final battle
  • Added UI to show which character is currently selected

If you haven't tried out the game yet and you think you might enjoy a short atmospheric platformer, then you might enjoy it: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/descendants

BIG PostJam Update for Gravity Crush!

It took me a while, but I finally finished and published the PostJam Version of Gravity Crush!

ScreenshotB.png

The game is now a full blown (if very small) roguelike! Here is a short list of stuff that has been added:

  • PAUSE MENU!
  • New Enemies
  • New Items
  • New Weapons
  • Unlockable Characters
  • Bossfights
  • An actual Roguelike structure to the game
  • Skipping empty floors
  • Tracked Stats

I would love to get some feedback on the new version and see some screenshots of your unlocks!

Create, Harvest, Repeat

A current idea of what the game might look like. You populate the world, you harvest it's potential and start over with more options.

Almost done

A few things are still left to do, but the game is pretty much complete! Very happy with it!

Over 20 Ratings on Day 1!

TITLEemhex/embanner.png

With 30+ ratings on day one this is the fastest any of my LD games have ever surpassed the 20 ratings mark. Of course @Rincs streaming all day helped, but I like to think that this is one of the best entries I have ever worked on. And it looks so good!

(There may also be a hint in this picture)

This could be my most rated game ever!

We are 11 ratings away from 82 ratings, which would make this game the most rated game I have ever made for a LD!

Anyways, here is a cute screenshot!

Also we are hard at work on a PostJam Version (Yes the screenshot is from the postjam version), which adresses a lot of the issues people had with the game. Maybe you have some complaints I can still address!

Hex-Yield Full Version is done!

title.png

It is done! After we have poured many PostJam-Hours into the game we have decided to create a fully released game!

The post jam version now serves as a demo you can play for free!

Here are some post jam fixes we made:

  • Made it possible to switch tile selection without cancellation
  • Added a menu
  • The game now saves your progress
  • Chill mode can no longer be turned on or off at any point
  • Made compendium easier to read and added hints

compendium.png

  • Added discovery effects to show when a new tile was discovered

discover.gif

On top of all this the fully released game contains the following:

  • 22 new tiles to discover (That's 53 total!)
  • 20 unlockable achievements
  • New creative gamemode to unlock

Overall we poured a lot of time, sweat and love into this game and we will probably expand on it in the future, so I would love it if you would go check it out. I also want to take the time to send a big THANK YOU to everyone who played the game and left feedback. A lot of the changes we made were inspired by what people said on their streams and wrote in the comments. I am still overwhelmed by how well recieved the game was/is and hope you are all having fun with it!

Best game yet!

scores.png

I gotta say I am really happy with the results (even though I honestly thought graphics would be one of the highest scores, but there are just so many pretty games this time around)! As I mentioned before, I am super thankful for all the ratings and the amazing feedback we've gotten.

If you get the chance you should still definitely check out the post jam version as we have poured a lot of love and effort into it.

Can someone please knock me off my own leaderboard?

Apparently my game is a bit harder than I expected but it is definetly possible to get higher scores than mine. Anybody feel up for the challenge? You can also try to knock @kuviman off the throne!
