I want to make a game! (I am in for the Dare)

Hiya! My name is Artix. This is my very 1st Ludum Dare and I am really excited to participate.

Development Tools:

  • Flash CS3 (Actionscript 2)
  • Photoshop
  • Camera
  • After Effects (for Keylight)
  • Ableton Live
  • SoundForge
  • Microphone
  • Guitar
  • LOTS and LOTS of caffeine

My Goals for the Competition

  • #1 have tons of fun and do something really creative
  • Create a small, simple game that I can finish in time
  • Create everything (Art, SoundFX, Music, etc) from scratch
  • Make someone laugh

Oh yikes. I woke up this morning with a sore throat and a fever. Under development tools, please replace “LOTS and LOTS of caffeine” with “LOTS AND LOTS of DayQuil” I am still in! … maybe fever inspired hallucinations will make the project more interesting.

Doom Cauldron

My submission for tomorrow is going to be Doom Cauldron. “Put things in it… and see what comes out!” It is a simple item merging game. My programming skills pale in comparisonto the talented game makers here, so I have spent my time focusing on taking photos and editing the items in photoshop. It has been a lot of fun! I have been streaming my screen and webcam at Http://team.battleon.com/artix so you can watch as take photos (of myself in some cases… I set the camera on timer mode and took the picture of myself in those robes for the Necromancer) Everything in the game was photographed today (sat).
