Finally done submitting. The game didn't turn out as I'd like but it's but at least I finished the game this time. As it is now there is no semblance of balance in the game, but at least the core mechanics are not horrible. If I had spent some more time balancing the game and making a proper interest curve and less time making the hearts light up the way I want I feel I might have gotten something playable.

And say what you want, this is the best hand I've ever drawn.
