Ludum Dare 48

Got a plan... do I have the skill?

Got the game design and plan for the game, maybe... to fast. My vision is a simple arcade crunchy and juicy game, simple mechanic and never ending....

Good luck LDers!

The Final Frontier is here!!!

I joined LD a year ago, wanted to try something different and test myself.

For LD48 I prepared myself, now this been my third LD, I designed a timeline (sleep deprived), setup time to share with my family (messaging and whatsapp were my backup) and planned walks or break (short but sweet).

My wife, family and friends support help me to get through it, and felt that I need to completed it since they wanted to see it. Well, I did it!

I wanted to share this: no matter how your game ended, what mechanics or graphics were cut out, if your vision was compromised or if you could not completed it. Feel proud it's yours, you completed the LD and became one of the maniacs that love to do this twice a year.

Personally, after multiple scares, lack of sleep, rush meals and typos, Final Frontier is here! (bed will be the next).

Have fun! Please take time to review my game (I will play and rate yours, professional courtesy of course). Now get some sleep and food (which order you prefer).

Sometimes you succeed in other areas

Congrats to all winners and participants!

Although I got more engagement, incredible technical and amicable feedback, I did not reached my goal of improving my rankings. I would be happy with at least equal. I won't lie, I feel a bit down, but on the other side, I found success in other areas.

I had other goals, which I reached: make a simple core loop, strong mechanic, a concept and basic coding within the first day, sleep more, take breaks, participate. I'm happy with my coding and blender improvement. Perhaps, the key is combining a little bit of everything, simple but stylish graphics, strong core loop with a couple of smaller ones, more focus on mood and add humor.

I wanted to make a game out of this but the results does not justify the effort.

Here's the obligatory stats.
