Ludum Dare 48

1st Day Progress

This is my first time making a game with Godot, excluding tutorials. I didn't know too much coming in, and I was a little worried I wouldn't be able to finish a game for the jam. I've been making a lot more progress than expected, and I'm feeling a lot more confident now. I've got a basic platformer up and running. Got a good ways to go, but I'm pretty happy about where I'm at so far. As for making games in Godot, I think this will be a great learning experience! I can't wait to do more with it in the future! Progress: Day 2

Most of the code and art for the game is done! Maybe a few more tweaks will be made, but those parts are pretty much done. All that's left is to make the levels and create some music! Capture(0).PNG

Game finished!

screenshot2.png Glad I gave myself as much time as I did to get my submission set up! This was my first time exporting to HTML and my first time setting up and submitting a game's source code, so it took a while. Got a little stressed out about time near the end, but I managed to submit on time. This was my first time creating a game in Godot, and deciding to go for the Compo definitely made things more interesting. Considering that I was using a new engine, I'm pretty satisfied with the result! Can't wait to play the games everyone else created!
