Meat Fighters (Working Title / WIP for the Ludum Dare Jam )

Boneloaf are making Meat Fighters (or Bear Feast or Beast Feasts or Bear Feast Fighters etc. etc.) a single and multi-player puzzle game in which Bears fight over meat in perilous mechanical rooms.

here is a .gif of a very short Vine post that shows some gameplay (click the .gif image to see the animated version).

we want to make 100 levels before the deadline, we expect to make less than 100 levels before the deadline.

this is our first Ludum Dare, we are very much enjoying it, excited to play everyones games.

Looks realllly awesome!

Meat Game

Less than an hour to the end.

We have made levels and sacrificed tentacles (removed all tentacles from the game).

We are calling it ‘Meat Game’ (if we have time to add a title screen).

Can we meat the deadline?

Flappy Beasts

We finally started work on our MiniLD#49 (non-human player) submission, it is an underwater Flappy Bird clone for 1-4 players.

The playable characters are grotesque fishes attempting to avoid the grasping tentacles of predatory cephalopods.

Fish

The fish expand or deflate when the button is depressed / released, tapping the button makes the fish incrementally rise in the water, holding the button forces the fish to expand making it move more slowly through the water.

We have the basic gameplay implemented (excluding the scoring system) but need to finish, texture, and animate the fish model and add the menu and additional sounds.

Flappy Beasts

Flappy Beasts

We put a short gameplay video on YouTube, the link is Flappy Beasts, we will probably make the fish larger (and inflate more) than the placeholder spheres.

Thank you, we stole the tentacles from another game we are working on.

Flappy Beasts (Update)

We have added the fish and fish animations, we still want to add a scoring system, fish textures,  additional sounds, and a menu in the next 9 hours.

We have uploaded a second (three player) gameplay video to YouTube, the link to the video is http://youtu.be/9-LOxs9i7vQ

thank you, we’ve found it surprisingly fun to play, we even had our Dad playing it with us earlier (he was pretty good at it, but would complain loudly when he lost).

I love the look off your game thus far.

I would also love to see the final version.

Troll Bridge

We had a slow start (due to other commitments) but now have a basic concept for our fourth Ludum Dare entry, we have a prototype quadruped Sheep character model, some music, and a game name. Next tasks are a Troll model, level design with bridge structures, sound, texturing, menu, and win scenario.
