Ludum Dare 57

Atmospheric game with infinity generation, magic and bosses!

I made a solo game for a game jam in just 3 days! My game features infinity generation so you'll never run out of new places to explore. Battle challenging bosses using unique magic abilities as you uncover the amazing story of a miner seeking the secret of his family's death. Give it a try and let me know what you think! - https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/57/echo-of-fallens

Moderngl with pygame. Shaders really lift the atmosphere ^^

During development i realized that moderngl is a really great thing, using shaders you can greatly raise the mood, and optimize some game processes. But there is a big minus that using moderngl you will not be able to make a web build of the game. It's sad that games that are downloaded on ludum dare get 2 times less ratings((

Here is a game where i used moderngl - https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/57/echo-of-fallens

Echo of Fallens: Dark Pixel Horror with Deep Atmosphere

My First Ludum Dare

I want to share my first game for Ludum Dare - an atmospheric horror with pixel graphics. I interpreted the theme as immersion into a dark world of fear and mystery.

What Makes The Game Special

  • Captivating atmosphere - a dark world with carefully selected sound effects
  • Minimalist pixel style with a unique visual signature
  • Creepy opponents - including a final boss you'll meet from the very beginning
  • Non-linear progression - explore the world, collect scrolls and return to defeat the final enemy
  • Growing anxiety - the further you progress, the stronger the feeling of danger

Technical Features

The game is fully developed in Python using pygame and moderngl, which allowed for creating unique visual effects and atmospheric lighting for a pixel game.

Try It Yourself!

The game is quite short, so you can quickly complete it in one session. Perfect for fans of atmospheric horrors with pixel graphics. The source code is also available for those interested in Python development.

I'd appreciate your feedback and impressions!
