Gnome Town Dating Simulator Update!

I've released an update to my Ludum Dare game, Gnome Town Dating Simulator!

I added some more graphics and sound effects, improved the GUI, and remade the opening sequence. There is a lot more I could do with this, but I think I'm going to call it complete here. Time to move on to bigger and better projects.

Day One:

I had a very productive first day. I've decided to follow the theme in a very unique direction, and create a game about the situation in which I feel most powerless: When a dog wants me to pet it, but I don't really want to, but the dog is extremely desperate. Get ready to feel like you've lost all power in:

I have a very unfortunate schedule for the jam weekend, littered with awkward 4am shifts. Luckily work is very slow and I will still be able to work on my game there. Sleep is my only worry. I'm going to try not to let the jam affect my sleep, but it is always a struggle to get enough when I work this early. Wish me luck!

Belated Day Two Update: How I Slept Through Day Three

Saturday and Sunday had me working at 4am, so the majority of Sunday had me sleeping instead of finishing my game. I guess it did make the decision of whether I should be aiming for the Compo or the Jam for me. Now I don't have to worry about music, Kevin Mcleod to the rescue!

On Saturday I finished the core features, including the most important feature, Tail Wagging. That means I have 9 hours to re-do all of the placeholder art, and attempt to implement the sounds I've recorded in a way that's not annoying.
