Platforms and facade

Hi, I’m in this Mini Ludum Dare with a game called ‘Platforms and facade’:

This games starts as a very simple platform game, but then start to happen things that are unusual for a platform game.

My progresses until now:

– 5 levels done

-Core mechanics done

-There are sounds for jumping and dying

What this game will look like once comlpeted:

– 20 levels

– Perhaps one more core mechanic

– A level selecting screen

– (Perhaps) A background music

The graphics are very minimalistic and the sounds are created with bfxr

Free background music

I have made a free background music.

You can use it in your game if you want.

After a brief search on Youtube I found no videos about Ludum Dare, so I decided to make my own.

Stencyl?

I am going to use Stencyl for my game, is it ok? I won’t be able to provide source code.

You must provide the source code for the compo rules.

However you can use the jam rules.

All you have to do is provide the file(s) that Stencyl saves when you save your game project.

Yes, Stencyl can export your game into a single “.stencyl” file which contains everything required. Just use the Export Game option and you’ll be fine.

I am in the 4′ time

Hello everyone, I’m in the 4′ time (90% sure) and I’m going to use

*Sound Recorder + Finale + Audacity (For the music)

*Paint (For the (very few) graphics)

*Stencyl (For the actual game making)

Sorry

I tried to review some games as I said but my video (1 hour long) got destroyed by a bug!

Sorry! I’ll make shorter videos from now on in order to avoid such bad destructions caused by bugs. (The video is called ‘Review of various Ludum Dare games’ (by Caridorcc Tergilti)), if you want you can check it out and you can hear the audio)
