Best of luck to all participants.

I'm tired of just making parts of strangers games, so I'll give it a try to complete a game from scratch alone.

I'll be using Unity, Blender, Gimp and bfxr.

Done for today, good luck for day 2.

Theme blindsided me a bit, but I remembered scene from Avengers about "Energy at 400% percent capacity". Always thought that could not be good for a powered suit, so I decided to make a challenge FPS with that theme.

A spaceman evacuates from his shot-down ship, his heat sinks, main batteries and most life support are down. Only things working are his absorption shield and weapons. As he soaks damage, his suit is overheating and overcharging, which increases his mobility and offensive capabilities, but also adds more and more inconvenient effects such as random current discharges, magnetism and reactive heat exhaust. Basically gameplay is about balancing damage output and damage soak with trying to lose heat and excess energy.

Done basic physics-based FPS mechanics, weapon & damage system, first enemy with simple AI and basics of suit mechanics. 2 more enemy types left, along with level randomization, drops, some simple levelup system and visuals. Definitely will not make it in time for compo, so jam it is.

Overcharged is fully charged. Also, good job to all who finished - that was hard

Finally, after frantic 2 hours of trying to fix build bugs, I published Overcharged. Sadly, I wasn't able to implement all gameplay I wanted, and planned sounds went out of the window, but I'm still proud of it - it's my first game made completely alone.

Instruction text screen after submission?

Is it against the rules to include starting text with instructions into build after publishing a game? I didn't have time for it during jam itself(spent 2 hours trying to fix build-specific problems, barely made it in time), but after reading feedback I think it would help.
