Here we go...
This game is going to be the best and worst thing I'm ever going to create. First time also! Hopefully five years of programming is going to pay off and make something at least half decent in the next 48 hours.

Finally starting to look like a game instead of some placeholder sprites and stuff. I'm doing an HTML5 RPG mixed with cards. The cards will be used for attacking, healing, escaping, etc. Hope all of you guys are doing well also!

No idea what this is supposed to be but it's amazing.

Not sure what sort of playable character would fit in in an interior castle environment.
Any ideas would be very very very much appreciated!
New character design along with an enemy that looks like a Roomba.

I made a pathfinding script for the enemy to go to a random location on the screen, but he is following a pattern instead of going to a random position. If anybody knows the reason for this, I would appreciate the help.
He keeps going from here:

Working on new card designs and uses, here's a sneak peek at a healing Mandrake:

Trying to get some good sleep for tomorrow to finish the rest of the game mechanics. Here it is after a day's work:
Not much so far, but the main parts of the game are going to be implemented tomorrow. Goodnight and good luck to everyone!
New slimes to fit the theme of my game:

So, I have no idea what I did. Unlimited lanterns I guess?

About halfway through yesterday, my wifi in my house crashed and I couldn't do anything to progress my game. Luckily I have it working today, but I may not have enough time for a fully finished product.
I'm trying to add a bit of variety for the item cards in game, however, I seem to have run out of ideas. So far I have 30 cards developed, and aiming for 50. Any help with coming up with new card concepts would be appreciated!
Ran into some technical issues and waited until the last moment to publish my game. Luckily, I had it up and running just two minutes before the deadline. Phew!
I can't wait to play all of your guy's games also! You can play and rate my game down here: https://ceejap.itch.io/cardpg
It was my first go and I missed a day because of wifi issues, but here it is anyway: https://ceejap.itch.io/cardpg
I've seen a lot of very well made games, and most of them from the compo, where I find myself asking: How? I really don't understand how such quality games can be made in such little time. Keep it up guys, so far all of the submissions that I've seen are fantastic!
You can check instructions to see what the cards do in my game CardPG. Check it out here: https://ceejap.itch.io/cardpg
I'm still not close to getting 20 ratings, but I'm still trying! Just take a second and play my game, no download even required: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/cardpg Thanks!
Going for the second Ludum Dare, and it has crept up on me fast! I almost missed it, but luckily I tuned in just before it starts. Good luck to all!
A bit late to the competition, but I came up with an idea faster than last time, so hopefully I haven't lost that many precious hours yet. So far I've started sprite design and music, but nothing much.
