Wrap Space: almost done!

Just finished, and only 12 hours to go!

Unfortunately due to unforeseeable circumstances the other half of this two man team was unable to attend the last two days, so I've just spent the last 5 hours pumping out... acceptable... graphics to replace the swarms of blank white circles.

The gimmick this time around is a completely wrap around world, which gets smaller each time you take damage. When combined with traditional bullet hell mechanics this makes for a frantic and tight experience, that only gets tighter as you continue. Here is a screenshot of a later game situation. screenshot1.png

Can't wait to get up tommorow morning and apply some much needed polish(and hopefully come up with a better name) before final submission.

BulletWrap v1.1 PostCompVersion - Now with sound!

screenshot 8.png

A whole bunch of people commented that I should add sound, so I did (amongst some other changes).

It's a bullet hell, where the world gets smaller each time you get hit. If you've been playing almost exclusively puzzle and strategy games like me, here's an action game to spice things up.

Hope you enjoy!

HeatDeath released!

Screenshot1.png

You play as a robot seeking power cores to achieve your fully powered state. In the mean time you have to manage what little power you have to keep your subsystems online and fight off other machines and scavenging humans. You will fail in your attempt, but along the way you will conquer rival machines, and splatter many meat-bags.

Unfortunately there's no sound in this version, due to a complication with the love engine, but I hope to push that out the door pretty soon.

If you enjoy rogue-likes or just strategic game play in general, come check it out, and I'll try and get around to returning the favor.

Clicker Village 36 hours in

Hi! Never got around to doing an "I'm in" post, so I guess I'll post a progress update instead. This time I'm working with three other people, so we're hoping to push out something much more complex and polished. With that in mind.... we decided to go with a clicker game!

screenshot1.png It fits with the theme, trust me :)

Clicker Village released!

After 72 hours, we're finally done! We actually released 6 hours ago with everyone else, but we just finished porting it to the web, so we felt like now would be a good time to make a blog post about it. screenshot3.png We decided to make a self aware clicker game. It may not seem like it fits the theme, but if you think about it, the more buildings you have in a clicker game, the more expensive they become.

Come check it out if you haven't already, and thank you to all the people who have already done so!

Clicker Village results and post mortem

Results.png Pretty good for my fourth entry! This is the best I've gotten in the overall category, so that has been a great improvement. For some reason humor was our highest rated, which is weird, because our game really wasn't humorous. I guess people just find clicker games funny? Anyway, I also wrote a post mortem if you want to check that out here. Thank you to all the people who rated our game, and good luck for the new year, and your next LD entry!

Alienguistics

Just finished our entry! You play as a lingiust marooned on an alien planet, and you have to use your language deciphering skills to collect what you need from the local populace to escape!
