I'm in (so is the person I'm working with)

I was just reading through the updates to the website and I missed making one of these, not sure if I was meant to or not but it said so, so why not :D There is a gif and video of the game I'm making with @angas-smith on my twitter and I'll start posting stuff here too! (My Twitter is https://twitter.com/Chillehh)

Time to sleep zZz Over 1 and half days in! :D

Wow I'm so impressed with the progress @angas-smith and I have made coming to the end of two 14hr game jamming sessions hehe~ There were quite a few bugs at the start that we had with gravity on a cylinder shaped world, but it's pretty much under control now! The art is amazing holy moly, thanks to my teammate! I've made a couple background audio tracks, which are pretty neat and being able to talk with anything is also pretty neat! Good luck to everyone doing the compo and the jam!!! :D

PixelPups - After Thoughts

Wow what a game jam! I think the best part for me was actually keeping within my initial scope, and finishing everything on time (barely)!

Skills I gained: - Keeping within scope - Pixel art - Animations - Tiny programming things in VSCode that made my time a lot smoother

Skills I want to improve on for next time: - Distinguishing between a new game and loading a previous save for future. So I can better test when a player first launches a game because I struggled hard. - Art in general. I definitely improved on my pixel art skills, but they still need a lot of improvement! Also 3D modelling and texturing in case I decide to make a 3D game! - Planning. I had no plan whatsoever going into this and I was still implementing code and features as I was thinking of them.

I hope everyone had a nice jam :)
