Good luck and have fun everyone :)
We were 3 to create our Gameboy-styled RPG engine, The Reboot of the King
We have neither animations, nor music, nor an ending, but the main playable parts are here !
Myself on the engine coded in love2d, titeboule and kusanagi417 on level design, story, pictures.

I think we needed more time to work separately and concentrate, instead of brainstorming the whole time.
It was nice to just work on one part of the game, and just let the others take care of the rest. I used to do everything and stay stubborn on small details in other projects. This time I just worked on my part, and the others just did a great job in their own way, the result is just fine. :)
Being together in the same place kept us motivated.
I think we should have started with an existing basic game engine (created earlier), to be able to put other resources (sound, pictures, dialogs) and play with them even while coding.
L脰VE (love2d) is a pretty low-level engine compared to godot, game maker, unity... but I already knew this, and I'm happy because now I have a custom working prototype of gameboy rpg engine, ready to be improved.
We should have worked more on the "marketing" part, I mean a better cover, menu screen, description...
Anyways, I'm ready for another game jam soon, as a team or alone. 馃挀

Has any of you been able to post your love2d game as a web browser game on itch.io ?
Thank you for your attention :)

Building a shoot them up with energy flow that you have to manipulate by throwing grappling hooks at stuff. :)
Finally releasing my shmup with grappling hooks, happy about the mood and everything ! 馃殌 馃懢

As some of you may know, in France and Belgium (at least), we use AZERTY keyboards, and it makes it difficult to play a lot of games without tweaking our keyboard configuration just during the game.
I didn't want to create a controls configuration in my game, so I implemented this solution : allowing Z OR W to go up, and A OR Q to go left (S and D remain unchanged)
It doesn't seem to affect anyone playing, but I'd like to know your opinion on this, and if this could cause some trouble of any kind.
By the way, I'd like to send a huge thank people that put in their games WASD, but classic directional pad too. It's not very expensive in programming and can help a lot. :)
Who am I ?
What is love ?
Baby don't hurt me...
