Hi guys!

Gonna enter my first LD alone. Not sure if that was a good choice, but don’t really have a team-mate handy. Im going to use game maker for the programming, sfxr for some sounds and some royalty-free music.

Cant wait to start 😀

I planned on waiting till i had 100 rates before doing this to wait for alot of feedback, but it looks like its not gonna happen. So, im gonna do this now 😛 .

I’d say my game was a successful first LD! People kept saying how the intro was a bit too long, and i cant help but agree. Other than that, they said it was fun…I couldn’t believe it when my game was one someones list of “Most Fun Games on LD”. I am definitely joining the next dare!

The good

1)Game-play was what i had worked on first, and it looks to be a very good decision because some other first timers said they concentrated on everything else and couldn’t get good game-play (but very awesome graphics) which i think is the core to every good game.
2)Graphics were okay. Considering the fact that i have never animated anything in my whole life (always had a friend to do this for me) the graphics were…okay

The bad

1)Intro too long . I might have gone overboard with this…
2)Intro text was hard to read. This one was weird since it looked fine on the PC i developed on but not on any other PC.

I might be working on a post-compo but i might also not

I’ll be off to China tomorrow and will arrive 8 hours before the theme is announced. At first I thought I could probably get a game out, but this time, I’m following a tour group…so I don’t get ANY time to actually do this (Not to mention I’ll be freezing to death in the negative something degree weather…). I’ll still be voting and playing games when i get back and maybe make a game that fits the theme then.

I’m joining in for another round of  ludum dare! My last one went quite smoothly and I’m praying this one would too. Might use either Gamemaker, Pygame or Unity depending on how confident I feel with the theme. I might also submit for the jam because of an event i have this weekend.  Anyway, good luck to all!
