Ludum Dare 56

I'm ready

I'm ready..?

I used to participate in a few local jams dedicated to a particular engine. There were no jams for a long time, so I even held my own jam on the topic of portals, one of the games from that jam is currently being finalized and will probably make it to steam. Here is a screenshot from it:

I haven't been a jam participant for a very long time, I've already forgotten all these feelings. So if the topic doesn't seem too repulsive to me - I'll definitely participate

This time I won't be doing everything alone most of the time, I will be assisted by my classmate from the institute. I will hand over the graphics and testing to him, so that I can better focus on the logic writing process

Walls in isometry are not an easy task.

It will probably be necessary to revise the concept of locations Corridor locations are difficult to process to make them look good изображениеem2024-10-06/em022321285.png

Models not found

The renders are not ready yet. However, we need to start working on the behavior already %) gig7.gif

Is tank mineable?

I'm afraid not

Question: how to judge in a team

This is my first time participating in this jam, maybe I searched poorly, but I didn't find this:

Should all members of the development team evaluate the games, and will this be taken into account in the "coolness" of our game, or will only the team leader's evaluation be considered? If the latter is true, does this not lead to "sharing accounts"?

is the situation getting heated?

The 3d-artist got drunk >:\

so the renders are currently in low resolution, and it seems I will have to create the terrain myself. изображениеem2024-10-07/em201857647.png

Not bad for a first time?

maybe.. изображениеem2024-10-27/em031931262.png

We put the jam theme very much on the back burner and worked on the world and graphics more than anything else. Those are the categories that got the highest marks %)

If we had left the humor category, it would very likely be the worst, since there are no jokes in the game at all. It seems to be difficult to put humor in such a lore so that the game does not lose quality.

This time we worked out the graphics rendering "128 frames per 360 degrees". It's quite labor-intensive, especially if you don't write a special script for Blender. Next time we will put more emphasis on covering the theme and “stickiness” of the game. It seems story games aren't really suited for the jam format. Also we already have a small lore, which in theory can be adapted to any theme, and therefore some meta-narrative can be written into the game

Thank you very much for your evaluations and feedback! изображениеem2024-10-27/em032754157.png

I'm a little picky

I should have put all my answers into a simple AI so she could give the answers for me next time %) изображениеem2025-03-27/em185949434.png
