I don't know if a lot of other people feel this way, but I mostly just review games that have a web version. And I really appreciate games that have mouse only controls. It just makes quick testing easy. I made sure to do that for my game this time around, and I'll probably aim for that in the future. If you use keyboard controls though, I think having the instructions in the game is key. Anyway, you can try my amazing game here:

A buddy was playing my game and got his first planet looking pretty intense:

I'm sure we'll see a lot of similar games, but here's my take on harvesting in space! You basically just go from planet to planet collecting wheat and returning it to the mother ship. You can also shoot enemies which will give you more cargo space. Play it here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/52/space-harvester-1

So many people made games about wheat! And I'm no exception haha. But the difference here is that you can harvest wheat in space!

Time to harvest wheat, but in space!

Finished my game for the compo. I didn't have much time to add half of the things I wanted to, but I feel pretty good about this one. Please play and rate and I'll return the favor! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/53/baby-dino-delivery

Don't worry, you read that correctly. What if a snake-like game was turn based, but was also a real time strategy game? How is that possible!? Well, there's only one way to find out, PLAY SNANT! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/56/snant

So my game is not very flashy, I didn't have time to work on the visuals much, so it's quite clunky and ugly. But the theme made me think of a game idea that I've had for quite a while. What if snake was turn-based? So instead of quick reflexes, it's more about important decision making, and you could potentially have more going on on the screen because you have time to think through your moves.
So anyway, I tried it here, but ended up making it a bit more frantic than a methodical turn-based game. The actual gameplay is still turn-based, but your actions on the bottom influence a real-time battle happening at the top.
If this sounds interesting to you at all, please give my game a try, it's playable in the browser, and it doesn't waste your time at all. Maybe next time I'll go all-in on a truly turn-based snake game, I still think it could be a fun idea.
Thanks!

I made a turn-based snake/pathfinding/math game? Anyway, I think it's pretty fun, so please give it a try!

I typically just play and rate games that have web builds, mostly to save time and not clog my computer with stuff. Also I'm on a mac, so half of the download only games won't run for me anyway. But I just want to shout out to the void, please, if possible, make a web build for your game. It'll be much more accessible and you're much more likely to get people to play your game.
I finished it, feel free to play and rate!
