My best friend has been playing my little speedrunning platformer on his steam deck and got a time I could barely believe:

If anyone beats it, please let me know! Next time I'll have to make a leader board.

So, after having unwound from the Jam and played a ton of awesome games, I have one take away I'd like to share. On the last day, when I should have been finishing my art and adding sound, I wanted to spend just a moment to add some post processing. I was sure it would be quick! Yet that ended up leading me to experimenting with shaders for the first time, overcoming my trepidation (Let's be honest, fear), and finding a real passion for learning about shader programming! So my take away is this: Game jams are one of the best times to take chances, do things you have been putting off, and experiment. And even more importantly, to anyone out there scared of learning shaders or anything else, don't be. You are always more capable than your fear suggests, and no task is as daunting as your imagination colors it to be.

I'm gonna get back to playing more of your amazing games, great jam everyone!

Godot-tools extension for Codium/VSCode

Hey, just wanted to quickly shout out an awesome VSCode/Codium extension that really helped me out when trying to learn GDShaders.

https://alfish.itch.io/godot-files-vscode

"Godot Files extension for Code is a free VSCode/Codium plugin with syntax coloring for Godot Shaders and assets/config files, as well as some extra convenience features."

I am not affiliated with the project in any way other than having donated to support its continued development, but I think it is amazing what this guy is doing, and it deserves more attention, so if you have a use for it, check it out!
