I am in!

Well, this will be my first LD. Meant to jump in on the last one but totally forgot.

I’ll be (probably) using:
Game Maker HTML5 for the game
GIMP
 for graphics
Audacity for sounds

Update

Well I’ve been jamming out for a couple days now, but ran into some problems that kept me tied up.

I’ve got the basics ready but I don’t see how I am going to realistically get this done. I’ve got to get some sleep and I have to work tomorrow. That leaves me with about 3 hours after work to get it done. Maybe, MAYBE if I absolutely slam it out, but I just don’t see it happening.

Argh, I’m so frustrated. I’m still going to finish it, even if I miss the deadline.

Here’s a screenshot. Working title is The Loneliest Robot

I agree with you. It took me forever just to get something to render to a screen. I just spent all day on content development and even if I don’t make the deadline, my game will be finished. Tuesday, a week later, no matter what, we’ll get them done.

Bladed Cyber Technologies is returning to Ludum Dare.
We’ll be participating in the Jam again.

We’ll be using Game Maker for sure. Not sure what else.

The Home Stretch – Empty Promises

As we prepare to wind down the Jam, BCT is hard at work putting some finishing touches on our game.
The name reflects the ‘unconventional weapon’ of our choice: Empty Promises. As the resident politician…er…llamatician, it’s up to you to run around the city spewing your empty promises to the masses to convert them to your side. But watch out for the Llamarazzi. They’ve got their cameras out just itching to catch you in a scandal.
The theme seemed fitting given the fact that political campaigns here in the U.S. are starting to pick up in preparation for next year’s Presidential election.
Here’s a screencap:
