That said, it was an amazing experience. Since the beginning of the pandemics, my music production has been on standby and it felt GREAT to be back at it, especially in the context of a game jam where time is not our ally and we're forced to come up with creative solutions. When we were solidifying our base concept for HELL deep is your love, I started to think about references for the music and I drew inspiration from very different sources. From Donkey Kong Country to MM Power Rangers to Super SWIV to The Messenger, it is noticeable that the sounds (mostly made with 3xOsc in FL Studio 12), rhythms and melodies were heavily influenced by retro videogames. I'm pretty satisfied with how everything came out and I hope you enjoy it as well. Thanks for playing and see ya!
