LD 41

Ready for LD #41!

I'm a 14 year old programmer and game developer, I'm good at programming, but suck at art. That's why I'm teaming up with my friend on this one. This is our first Ludum Dare, so I hope it turns out well. Good luck to everyone out there. :)

EDIT: Just a little edit to let you know what I use to make games! I use Java and I write my code in the Eclipse Neon 3 IDE, I normally use no libraries, I like to do everything from scratch, I use PAINT.NET and Aseprite for art and assets, and I use Bosca Ceoil to make simple music for games. Thanks for all the feedback, and best of luck and joy to you. :D

~Half way through for LD #41!

Just about half way complete with our LD game, looking good and coming along nicely. Good luck for the rest of LD. :D

Finished My First LD!

My friend and I finally completed our first LD, in this amount of time we made a simple, yet quite fun game, we call it: Only One Place.

Play it here: https://ldjam.com/users/devon-l-steyn/games

LD 42

Second Game Jam!

LD42 will be my second game jam, just after LD41 that happened in April! I wish everyone the best and I hope to see some really awesome games!

I am doing the Jam category, so I have a teammate! What we are going to use:

Me, the programmer/coder: - Eclipse Oxygen April 2018 - The Java Programming Language - No external Java libraries, the game will be PURE Java.

My friend (Mark Hefer), the artist/graphics designer: - Aseprite (Yes, we are going for a pixel art game) - Wacom Intuos Draw Drawing Tablet (I believe)

And that's it! Good luck to you all, and I'd love to know what you'll be using!

So... what's everyone using? =P

If you don't mind sharing like a little list of tools/programs that you're going to use for this up and coming Ludum Dare, then feel free to do so in the comments of this post! I'm curious to see how jammers make their games and whatnot, so, if it's no trouble; you could send the little list! Enjoy Ludum Dare, see you in about a week! =D
